About the role
Our client, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution. This is a fully remote role, empowering you to contribute from your preferred location. You will be instrumental in defining the product roadmap, driving innovation, and managing the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the FMCG market, exceptional strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products that resonate with consumers.
Responsibilities: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for assigned FMCG categories, aligned with business objectives and market trends. Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify new product opportunities and market gaps. Define product requirements, features, and specifications, translating market needs into actionable plans for R&D and marketing teams. Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and concept development through to launch, growth, and eventual end-of-life. Collaborate closely with R&D, supply chain, marketing, sales, and legal teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional plans. Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics (sales, market share, customer satisfaction), and identify areas for improvement. Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to senior leadership. Build strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and agencies. Champion product innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product team. Manage product P&Ls and contribute to achieving financial targets for assigned product lines. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes within the FMCG industry. Lead and mentor junior product managers and associate product managers. Develop compelling business cases for new product initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on the FMCG sector. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer products. Deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behavior, and retail landscape. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience with market research methodologies and data analysis tools. Demonstrated ability to manage product P&Ls and drive profitable growth. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product management software is a plus. Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to thrive in a remote work environment. Passion for consumer products and understanding of brand building. Ability to travel occasionally for key meetings or industry events.
