About the Team

The Platform Product team collaborates with Core Technology and Engineering teams to build the foundational technology that accelerates product development. We focus on creating leverage for our developers and the overall product development process through a blend of technical expertise and product-oriented thinking.

About the Role

As the key product partner for the Data Platform team, you will help us transform Datavant into an AI-first organization. Your role involves integrating AI seamlessly into existing products, creating innovative solutions, and managing AI/ML technology assets. You will work with Data Scientists embedded in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities that drive measurable value. • Drive adoption and impact: Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities and ensure value realization. • Be customer-focused: Identify and solve high-value problems for internal stakeholders, defining impactful features and platforms that achieve business outcomes. • Define product requirements: Translate complex business needs and data science possibilities into clear requirements, guiding the development of scalable solutions. • Be a leader: Foster collaboration among Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams. • Operate like an owner: Take charge of data science products and platforms from ideation to maintenance, ensuring their success.

About You • Experience: You have 5+ years in product management, product strategy, or engineering focused on data engineering, data infrastructure, or business intelligence products, ideally in healthcare. • Technical knowledge: You are comfortable engaging with code to understand technical aspects and contribute to discussions. • Data expertise: You have managed data infrastructure at scale and can navigate related technical and organizational challenges. • Work ethic: You thrive working at full speed and are passionate about your work. • Organizational skills: You possess strong project management capabilities, instilling confidence in your ability to deliver project outcomes. • Productivity: You are quick to understand and respond, effectively managing your time and tasks. • Documentation skills: You create exceptional documents, presentations, and mockups that clearly convey your ideas. • Communication: You are an effective communicator, adept at leading discussions across various levels of the organization. • Motivation: You are driven to both envision the big picture and take practical steps towards that vision. • Team orientation: You empathize with others, understanding their perspectives and needs. • Proactivity: You define product evolution and take initiative to act on it.

The estimated total cash compensation for this role is $170,000-$190,000 USD. To protect patients and staff, many clients require post-offer health screenings and proof of vaccinations. We will review exemption requests on a case-by-case basis.
