Global Payment Solutions (“GPS”) is a strategically important business for HSBC and plays a key part in the Group’s global leadership in transaction banking, utilizing its powerful international network to connect east and west.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our GPS products team that focuses on Payable and Receivable. As Subject Matter Expert, you will work in close partnership with a team of product managers and stakeholders to build and support innovative cash management solutions in France and Europe.

In This Role You Will

• Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the various HSBC teams across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions and deliver products in line with Group strategy.
• Contribute to the execution of longer-term payment product strategy based on customer needs, emerging market trends, infrastructure development and the regulatory environment for the country / region; leveraging on market insights, audit reports, market analysis and risk analysis carried out.
• Deliver process improvements to drive efficiency and where required establish new process that meet stakeholder’s requirements.
• Evaluate the risk level of the assigned products constantly and implement risk mitigation steps as necessary in liaison with Risk Stewards.
• Assist with the provision of product and technical knowledge (eg: development of sales initiatives/collateral…) to provide advice, guidance and product training to improve product sales, market share and profitability.
• Work closely with GPS Sales, Liquidity, Client Connectivity partners to ensure products are transitioned smoothly.
• Represent HSBC at industry engagements (CFONB, EBA, EBA Clearing, FBF, STET, SWIFT…), conferences, roadshows, industry events and help coordinate the publication of case studies and press articles.

You Should Apply If You Have

• Extensive experience of cash management products, coupled with sound knowledge of the sector, payments landscape, trends and regulatory environment.
• In depth knowledge of cash management solutions; payables and receivables, but also e-channels, reporting, reconciliation and liquidity management.
• Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate products strategies.
• Focus on portfolio and revenue stream and on the development’s plans for Global Payments Solutions in HSBC at Group and Regional level as well as for HSBC Continental Europe.
• Close engagement with key stakeholders in HSBC Continental Europe outside of GPS including but not limited to Corporate and institutional Banking (CIB) and Risk Stewards. You will support the growth of the Payable & Receivable propositions business by ensuring GPS strategy and business activity are aligned to the Regional & Global CCO strategy and consistently managed across teams within the region, challenging senior leaders to avoid introduction of risk.
