About the role
Context
As part of the strengthening of our marketing team, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager / Marketing Manager (fixed-term contract or freelance) to lead the Petfood category in a high-stakes and fast-evolving environment. This role is designed for a professional capable of managing shifting priorities, making fast and pragmatic decisions, and driving hands-on execution with strong business impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and agility, thriving in a transforming environment.
Missions
- Lead the development and performance of the Petfood category for SPECIFIC at Dechra, reporting to the Marketing Director
- Define business and marketing priorities in a dynamic and high-impact environment
- Identify growth drivers and lead 360° marketing plans across all target audiences
- Analyze performance, market dynamics, competition, and opportunities to drive category growth and identify innovation needs
- Own category performance (sales, margin, market share) and monitor KPIs to make fast, data-driven decisions
- Manage marketing budget and ensure efficient resource allocation
- Drive the execution of marketing initiatives on the ground with the field force and KAM teams
- Lead product launches, activations, campaigns, and commercial tools
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including KOLs, healthcare professionals, and agencies
- Drive projects across France and Europe with speed, pragmatism, and autonomy
- Activate key marketing and digital levers: e-commerce, CRM, content, acquisition, media, trade marketing
- Monitor performance and continuously optimize ROI
- Deliver measurable business impact through data-driven approaches
- Work closely with sales, trade marketing, medical, digital, and international teams
- Act as a key and trusted stakeholder in a matrix environment
- Influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Contribute to structuring processes and ways of working in a developing organization
Tools & Environment
- Marketing budget management (A&P)
- 360° marketing plans and omnichannel activation
- Digital marketing levers including e-commerce, CRM, content, acquisition, media, trade marketing
- Coordination with KOLs, healthcare professionals, agencies
- Cross-functional collaboration in matrix organizations

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marketing / Business
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing
- Proven experience as Senior Product Manager / Brand Manager / Category Manager
- Fluent English and French
- Experience in animal health or human health is a plus
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
- Strong decision-making and execution capabilities
- Solid understanding of digital levers and ROI management
- High level of autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset, and pragmatic approach
- Hands-on profile, able to execute as well as to lead
