The service market, from legal to consulting to agencies, is facing the biggest transformation in history. And the billion-dollar PR market is right in the middle of it. getpress, one of the fastest-growing PR agencies in Germany (>40 people, clients like Trivago, Komoot, Fonio AI, or AutoScout24), has decided not to wait for this change but to lead it. We are building the PR Company of the future: no longer a pure service company, but a service-software company.

Our own AI team is currently being formed. We are hiring the first developers, the basic architecture is in place, and the first internal systems are already running in the team. What's missing now is you: the person who thinks of the whole thing as a product, sets the direction, and builds something truly great.

Deine Rolle

• You will take over the product vision for our AI development. Lots of greenfield, but not an empty slate. The foundations are in place, now you decide what will emerge from it in the coming years.
• You will lead our AI team (currently 2 developers + Ops), which will grow in the future, both professionally and disciplinarily.
• You will design workflows for our PR teams where humans and AI work together. Where does the machine automate, where does the human decide? You will reduce complexity to clear logic and precise processes.
• You will measure what you build. Our AI systems must make the daily work of our teams concretely and measurably more efficient. You will define the KPIs, track the impact, and iterate based on data, not gut feeling.
• You will drive development cycles: Hypothesis → Build → Measure → Iterate, in weeks, not quarters.
• You will work directly with the management, who are driving the topic themselves.
• You will contribute to technical decisions: architecture, technology selection, quality assurance, and on an equal footing with engineering.
• Looking ahead: You will shape our "PR AI" so that it functions perfectly internally today and is designed for later external opening and scaling.

Anforderungen

• You have already built a product from scratch and know how it feels. You were in an environment where speed counts (startup or scale-up). You understand what current AI technology can and cannot do. You don't have to code yourself, but you discuss with engineers on an equal footing. Whether you have an MBA or were at McKinsey doesn't matter to us. We are looking for builders, not slide architects.
• In detail:
  • Several years of experience in product management of tech products or complex web applications
  • Disciplinary leadership experience (at least 2 direct reports, at least 1 year)
  • Demonstrable experience with AI/ML in a product context
  • Ideally, startup or scale-up background
  • German at C2 level
  • Technical understanding: data models, APIs, architecture discussions

Team

The team is being completely newly formed, and you can help shape it. It consists of a junior developer, our operations manager, and we are currently looking for another developer.
