About the role
Our client, a leading innovator in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager to spearhead product development and strategy. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to drive product success from anywhere. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from market research and ideation to launch and post-launch analysis, ensuring our products meet evolving consumer needs and market demands.
Responsibilities: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned FMCG product lines, aligning with company goals and market opportunities. Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights gathering to identify unmet needs and emerging trends. Translate product strategy into detailed product requirements, user stories, and functional specifications. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, supply chain, and operations, to ensure successful product development and launch. Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, overseeing product development, pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies. Develop compelling business cases for new product initiatives and improvements, presenting findings to senior leadership. Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and gather customer feedback to drive product iteration and optimization. Lead and mentor a team of product associates or specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Ensure products comply with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements. Manage product P&L, working to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers, and external partners. Develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans in coordination with the marketing and sales teams. Stay abreast of global FMCG market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements. Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in product management within the FMCG industry. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer products from concept to market. Strong understanding of market research methodologies, consumer behavior, and brand strategy. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product roadmaps and strategies. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Experience with P&L management and financial forecasting. Proficiency in using product management tools and project management software. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote environment. Deep understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes relevant to FMCG.
