Summary

The Bell Business Markets (BBM) Strategic Pricing team is seeking a Senior Manager. This role is crucial for supporting pricing activities and strategies for all practices in all regions and segments, leveraging advanced analytical tools and automation to drive efficiency and optimize outcomes. The individual will possess a thorough understanding of BBM services, strong business acumen, and demonstrated leadership capabilities, working closely with Bell Canada’s sales, finance, and product teams across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, product, legal, and finance, to understand customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and other pricing requests, developing efficient and automated processes for their analysis and response.
  • Develop pricing strategies supported by robust data analysis, business intelligence, and customer requirements, with a focus on leveraging automated data insights.
  • Support internal stakeholders in preparing and refining strong and well‑supported business cases for executive review and approval.
  • Create pricing templates and costing models for new revenue streams and products/services.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated/complex financial models for pricing analysis, deal structuring, and profitability optimization, including the design and implementation of automated solutions using advanced Excel (VBA/macros) to optimize pricing outcomes for RFPs/RFQs.
  • Collect, standardize, and analyze general cost elements from various business units, utilizing automated methods for data aggregation and tailoring them to specific opportunities based on customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization to improve profitability, informed by automated analysis of pricing and cost data.

Critical Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pricing role within telecommunication infrastructure services, or 8 years in a similar role in other industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of knowledge and data.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; communicate effectively with confidence and assertiveness.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies, tools, and business areas, particularly those that enhance analytical capabilities and process automation.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity; able to define solutions in evolving or uncertain environments.
  • Ability to manage internal and external escalations and provide feasible solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, delivering targeted outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional people‑leadership skills; not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Good understanding of financial analysis concepts (e.g., cash flow, NPV, ramp‑up/down, utility model, sensitivity analysis).
  • Superb MS Office skills, especially Excel (including VBA and macro development) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in developing and implementing automation solutions (e.g., scripts, macros, database queries) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of pricing processes, especially within RFP/RFQ environments.
  • Foundational understanding of AI and its applications; stays curious, recognizes ethical implications, and uses AI‑enabled tools to enhance everyday work.
  • Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
