About

The Senior Product Owner - Digital Solutions plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of various digital health solutions. This position encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from vision and discovery to launch, optimization, and scalability, all while working with a substantial level of independence.

As a key leader in our product organization, you will influence enterprise-level digital strategy, guide critical business and technical decisions for complex product functionalities, and mentor fellow Product Owners. Close collaboration with engineering, clinical operations, data, design, and executive stakeholders is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own a diverse portfolio of digital health solutions, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
  • Define and drive comprehensive product strategy and roadmaps, determining prioritization and making informed decisions on value trade-offs across multiple product teams.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations, compliance, engineering, data, and design teams to produce scalable and user-centered solutions while developing detailed epics, requirements, and user stories.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with regulations such as HIPAA and CMS, while leading continuous performance optimization of digital solutions post-launch.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Product Owners, fostering team culture and participating in senior leadership forums and cross-enterprise initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Product Management, Health Informatics, Business), with experience in leading enterprise-scale digital products.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or related fields, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity, preferably within the digital health or virtual care sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and delivering product roadmaps through Agile methodologies, including effective backlog management and conducting agile ceremonies.
  • Strong knowledge of value-based care models, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proven success in utilizing data, user research, and clinical insights to inform product decisions, enhance outcomes, and track critical KPIs.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to engage with clinicians, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, as well as to influence senior leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the U.S. for product initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
  • Remote position; availability during Eastern Standard Time business hours is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, or related fields.
  • Experience in senior-focused or Medicare Advantage care models, particularly in virtual or hybrid care systems.
  • Agile or Product Management certification, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or Pragmatic Institute certification.

Work from Home Specifications

  • Recommended minimum internet download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; a wired cable or DSL connection is preferred.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections are approved for use.
  • Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota working from home will receive a bi-weekly payment for their internet costs.
  • Humana will provide necessary telephone equipment for remote roles.
  • Work from a dedicated space to minimize interruptions and ensure the security of member PHI / HIPAA information.

Salary Range

The estimated starting salary for this full-time position is between $115,200 - $158,400 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
