Senior Product Owner – Model Risk Management

One of the largest institutional bank is seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong exposure to Model Risk Management to lead the development of a next-generation Loss Forecast Platform supporting regulatory stress testing (CCAR) and internal forecasting processes.

This is a strategic product role (not a Project Manager position) focused on bridging business, risk, and technology teams while driving product vision, roadmap, and execution across model risk initiatives.

• Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Key Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for model risk and loss forecasting platforms
• Translate business and regulatory requirements (CCAR, DFAST, CECL) into detailed user stories and backlog
• Partner with Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to drive product development and delivery
• Manage and prioritize backlog, ensuring alignment with business value and regulatory timelines
• Lead Agile ceremonies and support end-to-end product lifecycle execution
• Track risks, dependencies, and issues; provide updates to senior leadership
• Ensure platform supports governance, auditability, and model risk management standards
• Drive continuous improvement based on user feedback and regulatory changes

Required Qualifications

• Strong Product Owner/Product Management experience (not PMO/project-focused)
• Deep understanding of Model Risk Management
• Experience with CCAR, DFAST, CECL, or similar regulatory stress testing frameworks
• Knowledge of model lifecycle, risk processes, and forecasting methodologies
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on risk platforms or data-driven products
• Familiarity with credit risk concepts (PD, LGD, EAD)
• Exposure to data analytics, SQL, or large-scale data environments
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environment
