Senior Production Designer - Entertainment

Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Production Designer to join their dynamic arts and entertainment division in Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG . This role requires a visionary individual who can translate concepts into compelling visual experiences for various media projects, including film, television, and live events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and a deep understanding of aesthetics, composition, and color theory. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing visual styles, creating storyboards, designing sets, props, and costumes, and collaborating closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to ensure the artistic vision is realized.

Key responsibilities include leading design projects from inception to completion, managing design budgets and timelines, sourcing materials and suppliers, and overseeing the execution of design elements. You will also be expected to mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall creative strategy of the department. A proven ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing project requirements, and deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced environment is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. The ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to clients and management is also a key requirement. Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software is a significant advantage, as is a background in theatrical or cinematic production design. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Design, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in production design within the entertainment industry. Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of design disciplines. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp). Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative and high-quality design work. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent understanding of production processes and workflows.
