We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Senior Production Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient, high-quality production output, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing a large production team. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, supply chain dynamics, and a proven ability to lead complex operational environments. You will be instrumental in setting production goals, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive production plans and schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished goods dispatch, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, team leaders, and line operators to foster a culture of performance, accountability, and safety.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement programs (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Manage the production budget, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, engineering, and quality assurance departments to ensure seamless operations and product integrity.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Drive innovation in production processes and technology adoption to maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale production facilities and diverse operational teams.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and production planning.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage operational budgets and control costs effectively.
• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
