Senior Program Manager - Community Impact

Our client, a reputable non-profit organization dedicated to social upliftment, is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Program Manager to lead impactful community initiatives in and around Upington, Northern Cape . This dynamic hybrid role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion, fostering strong community relationships and driving measurable social change. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a portfolio of programs designed to address critical community needs, including education, healthcare, and economic development. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the South African non-profit sector. This role offers a blend of on-site engagement at our Upington, Northern Cape office and remote work flexibility, enabling effective program delivery and collaboration. Responsibilities include: Developing and executing strategic plans for community-focused programs in alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Managing program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Overseeing program implementation, monitoring progress, and ensuring achievement of key performance indicators. Building and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders, local government, partner organizations, and beneficiaries. Leading and motivating program staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team environment. Conducting needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify new program opportunities. Developing grant proposals and fundraising strategies to secure program funding. Ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program outcomes and impact. Representing the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences. Staying informed about current social issues and best practices in program management and community development. Promoting the organization's mission and values within the community.
