Our client, a prestigious non-profit organization dedicated to global humanitarian efforts, is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of international development initiatives. This vital role requires a leader with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex projects in developing countries, focusing on areas such as public health, education, or economic empowerment. You will be responsible for strategic planning, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the effective delivery of program outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine program strategies aligned with the organization's mission and donor requirements. Manage project lifecycles from inception to completion, including needs assessments, proposal development, and implementation planning. Oversee program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficient resource allocation. Lead and mentor program teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Engage with international partners, government agencies, local communities, and donors to build strong relationships and ensure program success. Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare comprehensive reports on achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. Ensure compliance with grant agreements, organizational policies, and international development standards. Conduct field assessments and site visits to oversee project implementation and provide on-the-ground support. Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Contribute to fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with potential funding sources. Qualifications: Master's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Public Health, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in program management within the non-profit or international development sector. Demonstrated experience in managing multi-year, multi-million dollar development projects in diverse cultural contexts. Strong understanding of program design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks. Proven ability to manage budgets effectively and ensure financial compliance. Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Experience in stakeholder management and engagement at various levels. Willingness and ability to undertake international travel and work in challenging environments. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Knowledge of specific development sectors (e.g., health, education, agriculture) is a significant asset.
