Senior Program Manager - IT Projects (Remote)

Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking an accomplished Senior Program Manager to lead complex IT projects within a fully remote structure. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing large-scale IT initiatives from conception through to successful completion. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget, all within a virtual collaborative environment.

Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets. Manage project teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and accountability among members. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and managing expectations. Oversee the procurement and management of external vendors and service providers as needed. Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project status to senior management. Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing across geographically dispersed teams. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools. Manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and reporting accuracy. Resolve conflicts and negotiate resources to ensure project success. Ensure the successful transition of project deliverables to operational teams. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or PMP/Agile certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in program and project management, with at least 7 years focused specifically on IT projects. Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex, and cross-functional IT programs and projects. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and Hybrid approaches. Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and collaboration tools. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, risks, and resources effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment is essential. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
