Senior Program Manager, Young Leaders Program (m/f/d)

Die Atlantik-Brücke e.V. is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Senior Program Manager for the German-American Young Leaders Program, to start as soon as possible. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Berlin.

Your Responsibilities

Project Management Young Leaders Program

  • Overall responsibility for the planning, management, and further development of the program
  • Organization and coordination of the application and selection process in close cooperation with the selection jury
  • Conception, execution, and follow-up of the annual Young Leaders Conference in Germany or the USA (including program design, event logistics, speaker inquiries, participant communication, and moderation of individual program items)
  • Support and strategic development of the alumni network, including the organization of an annual alumni meeting
  • Point of contact for the Executive Board and committees on all program-related matters
  • Budget planning and controlling for the Young Leaders Program

Event and Stakeholder Management

  • Support in the overall coordination and further development of Atlantik-Brücke's event program in close cooperation with the Program Director and Managing Director
  • Conception, planning, preparation, and execution of further event formats (background discussions, strategy sessions, VIP events)
  • Maintenance and expansion of contacts with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Completed university degree in a relevant field (e.g., North American Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, or Economics)
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in project management, ideally with initial leadership responsibility
  • Sound knowledge of transatlantic relations and practical USA experience (e.g., through studies, internships, or professional activity)
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Confident use of Microsoft 365 and other common digital tools (e.g., WordPress, Canva, etc.) as well as technical event equipment
  • Strong organizational skills, communication, and networking competence
  • Confident demeanor, strong moderation and presentation skills
  • Willingness to undertake regular business trips within Europe and to the USA

Internship at Atlantik-Brücke

Atlantik-Brücke is seeking an intern to start on September 1, 2026, for 30 hours per week and a minimum of six months.

Your Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be involved in the content and organizational work of the network and will particularly support:

  • The preparation and execution of events (e.g., creation of materials, invitation management, guest support, documentation, and reporting)
  • Correspondence with members, alumni, and external partners
  • Maintenance of databases and work with newsletter tools
  • Research on transatlantic topics for delegation trips and events, as well as for speakers and moderators
  • Writing texts in German and English

Your Profile

  • Enrolled at a German university
  • At least two completed university semesters
  • Very good English language skills, both written and spoken (for native English speakers: very good German language skills, both written and spoken)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft 365, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interest in transatlantic relations and current political, economic, and social developments
  • Structured way of working
  • Reliability and organizational skills
  • Linguistic confidence and willingness to support the creation and editing of texts
  • Willingness to occasionally attend evening events

The internship will be remunerated with a flat rate.
