Our client, a leader in technology consulting, is looking for an accomplished Senior Programme Manager to lead high-impact projects in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA. This role requires a seasoned professional adept at managing complex, multi-faceted programmes from inception to completion. The position offers a hybrid work model, balancing collaborative office-based work with the flexibility of remote engagement. You will be responsible for strategic planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical initiatives that align with our client's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and manage large-scale programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
• Develop comprehensive programme plans, including scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional programme teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Oversee the execution of programme activities, track progress against milestones, and proactively address potential issues and risks.
• Implement and refine programme management methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure effective resource allocation and management throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Conduct regular programme reviews, reporting on progress, risks, and performance to senior leadership.
• Manage programme budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
• Facilitate effective decision-making and resolve conflicts within the programme team and with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive continuous enhancement of programme delivery.
• Ensure quality assurance and adherence to organizational standards throughout the programme.
• Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in programme management.
• Champion change management initiatives associated with programme delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project and programme management, with at least 5 years in a senior programme management role.
• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale programmes with significant budgets and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in programme management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and manage distributed teams effectively.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in the IT or technology consulting sector is a significant advantage.
