About

As a Capex Senior Project Engineer, you play a crucial role in the execution of investment projects in our factories. You are involved in the technical and financial substantiation of business cases for automation solutions, up to their implementation. The ability to maintain oversight and manage projects effectively is therefore essential in this role.

Together with various stakeholders – from technical staff at the production sites to our different departments at headquarters – you ensure the successful execution of projects, closely monitoring deadlines and budgets. Your project management skills are key in this process. With a substantial CAPEX for investments in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact through your leadership and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and drafting business cases (technical and financial)
• Managing the CAPEX agenda for investment projects
• Effective project management: coordinating and tracking the progress of projects within the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany
• Maintaining an overview of multiple projects, including budget management and timelines
• Collaborate with various departments and specialists, both in the Netherlands and internationally
• Frequent travel to production sites domestically and internationally

What you bring?

We are looking for an experienced and driven professional who excels in project management and maintains strong oversight in complex situations. You seamlessly switch between technical and project management tasks. You have a hands-on mentality and are closely involved in operations. Additionally, we require:

• At least 10 years of experience with similar projects in the manufacturing industry (preferably FMCG);
• Experience in drafting business cases and managing CAPEX projects;
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German is an advantage;
• Willingness to travel regularly;
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and an affinity for technology.
• At least a Bachelor’s+ degree (or equivalent) in a technical field.
