Insight Global is looking for a Senior Project Lead local to the Charlotte, NC area. This role serves as the technical steward of large municipal water and wastewater projects, driving technical delivery in close partnership with the Project Manager while maintaining a clear split of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical steward of large municipal water and wastewater projects, driving technical delivery in close partnership with the Project Manager while maintaining a clear split of responsibilities.
• Leads engineering design efforts for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure, ensuring quality control, regulatory compliance, and mitigation of rework.
• Acts as the engineer of record, performing technical reviews, stamping designs, and conducting site evaluations to ensure alignment with project and location requirements.
• Emphasizes preemptive and proactive technical leadership to keep teams on schedule.
• Contributes to proposals and may participate in client meetings to present technical solutions.
• Mentors and trains junior engineers, supports technical knowledge development, and represents the firm through technical publications and industry engagement.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related
• Prior experience working with drinking water projects
