About
The Advanced Nuclear Senior Project Manager will have a focus on deployment and execution projects in support of GE Vernova’s small modular reactors (SMR). This role will report to the Project Management leader, while supporting the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of the SMRs around the world.
Essential Responsibilities
- On‑time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
- Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
- Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
- Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
- Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export control and other requirements as applicable
- Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
- Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
- Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
- Project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director
- Travel up to 10%
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and 5 years’ experience as a project manager or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience working on projects
- Proven professional experience in project management, engineering or business
Eligibility Requirements
- Preferred work location: GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) location in Markham, ON, Canada (relocation assistance provided)
- U.S.‑based candidates: GVH headquarters in Wilmington, NC
- This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information; final offers will be contingent on obtaining the necessary U.S. government authorization
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM
- Nuclear power experience in operations or engineering
- Proficiency with project management software tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
- Fundamental‑level financial or accounting knowledge
- Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- Financial control knowledge and understanding
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Extreme attention to detail, follow‑up, highly organized
- Demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Strong process orientation in approach to work
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
Additional Information
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required; employment is conditioned upon successful completion of a background investigation.
- U.S. Export Control Laws apply; citizenship must be from a country on the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries unless a specific authorization is obtained.

- Pay range for Canadian‑based position: $120,000 – $170,000 CAD (final offer influenced by experience, education, and skill set).
