Position Summary
Sikich is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our client in Woodlawn, MD/Remote.
What will you do in this role?
- Be a leader of an interdisciplinary team working with business stakeholders and enterprise software development teams to plan and implement enterprise-level solutions focused on Cloud Operations, IT Security and DevSecOps.
- Be aware of the big picture while supporting program and project leads in the conceptualization and implementation of technical solutions, process improvement opportunities, and innovative ways to improve operations.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years professional experience minimum.
- 5-7 years project management experience minimum.
- Demonstrated experience managing Technical Projects in domain areas such as Cloud, Security and DevSecOps.
- Experience working across integrated project teams.
- Demonstrated ability in managing complex and multiple projects at the same time.
- Demonstrated ability to manage program and project risks and issues.
- Experience developing and managing Objectives and Key Results.
- Experience using project management toolsets such Atlassian Jira/Confluence, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio) proficiency.
- Federal government agency work experience, CMS preferred.
- PMP and/or Agile certification.
- Strong listening skills with demonstrated ability to ask effective questions, understand customer priorities and anticipate customer needs.
In addition, specific skills/experience required are as follows:
- Understand the features and functions of the Cloud, DevOps and Security and collaboration products and services being implemented by and for the client and helping the team promote upcoming changes and system enhancements.
- Strive to be proactive and consultive in nature, bringing deep knowledge of the client’s vision, product use cases, and best practices to customers to maximize the benefit from the enterprise shared services.
- Provide Agile team management, planning, customer support and process management for multiple active and ongoing programs/projects.
- Apply business and technical expertise to recognize program pain points, identify dependencies, and to recommend informed solutions.
- Support the development and maintenance of applications, assisting with planning efforts and working to remove obstacles so that project teams can accomplish benchmark tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support process development, documentation and communication across the Product team related to key decisions and new/updated processes.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities related to contract and user access to enterprise shared services, including looking holistically at the entire process for improvement opportunities.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and use cases to help inform strategic direction aligned to client priorities.
- Lead and facilitate meetings and knowledge sharing activities.
- Work collaboratively to foster and build team relationships among our client, project managers, development contractors and other third-party entities/contractors to plan software products which support Program objectives.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present to clients and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Use knowledge of program goals and strategies, and technical/security system needs, to assist in the prioritizing of release scope.
- Report to the client on project status and communicate any delays or changes in the project plan.
- Contribute to programmatic information radiators such as monthly reports and strategic product roadmaps.
- Monitor key performance indicators to verify service level agreements.
- May serve as a performance manager and mentor for a team of up to six project managers, including, but not limited to, tasking, oversight, and personal development.

Salary Information
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $145,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
