For the successful realization of international large-scale projects in the process industry with project volumes up to the three-digit million range, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) at VTU Engineering. This top position includes overall project and budget responsibility, successful management of the project team, and ongoing communication with all involved stakeholders.

Your Tasks:

• Responsibility for the successful execution of large-scale projects
• Definition of the project execution strategy to achieve project goals
• Leadership and coordination of the project team (in large projects, usually across various trades and disciplines)
• Main point of contact for the client throughout the entire project phase (including active stakeholder management)
• Initiation of cost, risk, and schedule controlling, as well as responsibility for project reporting
• Setup, establishment, and active steering of scope, change, and risk management at all project levels
• Management of workflows and internal communication to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed about project progress
• Ensuring compliance with required quality in the project (QM & QC) and EHS requirements
• Negotiations with clients and partners (suppliers)

What You Bring:

• Completed technical degree with a focus on process engineering, biotechnology, plant or mechanical engineering, or equivalent education
• Training in project management or PM certification is an advantage
• Several years (min. 10 years) of relevant experience in the execution of EPCM/plant construction projects in the process industry, preferably in the field of pharmaceutical or chemical plants
• Sound technical and economic understanding of project processes and interrelationships
• Excellent communication and organizational skills in leading large teams
• Strong team orientation combined with commitment and hands-on mentality
• Enjoyment of collaboration with different disciplines
• Very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel within the countries of the VTU Group (focus on D/A/CH region)
