Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager - Bioprocess Consumables, you will act as the Core Team Leader of a cross-functional project team with full responsibility for project scope, project budget, and technical implementation, and will be responsible to the Eppendorf Senior Management Team for project success.

  • You plan, control, and realize complex, agile development projects up to series production and market launch of innovative and competitive products including accessories.
  • You ensure that projects remain within the agreed scope, within schedule and budget, while meeting all quality and regulatory requirements.
  • You lead the interdisciplinary project team through all project phases - from requirements gathering, concept and budgeting to handover to production - taking on technical leadership and motivation of the team.
  • You work closely with internal and external partners, specialist departments, stakeholders, and international teams, ensuring clear, transparent communication on project status and results.
  • You regularly report to management on project progress, milestones, risks, and next steps.
  • You identify project risks early, develop suitable countermeasures, and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • You are responsible for achieving your individual goals and foster a performance-oriented team culture.
  • You actively participate in strategic initiatives and improvement projects in the areas of innovation and program management, contributing your experience from working with cross-site project teams.
  • You independently lead end-to-end projects in the area of Bioprocess Consumables and represent the project internally and externally.
  • You create and maintain detailed project plans, resource and cost plans including Capex, and keep an eye on milestones, budgets, and delivery targets.
  • You define project phases and prototypes, ensure necessary documentation, and establish tools and best practices for efficient project tracking.
  • You plan and moderate agile processes (e.g., regular meetings, reviews, retrospectives), involve relevant stakeholders, and actively support your team in removing obstacles.
  • You promote a culture of urgency and solution-oriented discussion within the team, without losing sight of the big picture and long-term goals.
  • You moderate workshops and team meetings purposefully and use appropriate methods to achieve constructive results.
  • You build a high-performing project team, motivate your colleagues, and support the development of innovative solutions.
  • You ensure that the project team works according to Lean Development principles and company standards and that project documentation is continuously maintained.
  • You work closely with internal departments, other specialist departments, external partners, and corporate headquarters to ensure project success and to further develop internal processes, tools, and Kaizen principles.

Qualifications

  • You have a completed technical Master's degree (e.g., Engineering, Natural Sciences).
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in project management, ideally in the field of plastic consumables or comparable products.
  • You have successfully led at least two new product development projects from product definition to market launch.
  • You have extensive experience in leading interdisciplinary teams, can confidently manage obstacles, and bring projects to success on time.
  • Ideally, you have already worked in the life science industry and are familiar with its requirements.
  • You have experience working within a quality management system, preferably according to ISO 13485.
  • You work in a process-oriented manner and use project management tools efficiently.
  • You have strong leadership skills and can effectively steer teams in a matrix organization through lateral leadership.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and communicate confidently in an international environment.
  • A driver's license class 3 (or B) completes your profile.
