Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in business development to join their growing team. This critical role will involve leading strategic projects from conception to completion, with a focus on expanding market reach and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills, coupled with a deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of complex business initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of strategic business development projects.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage project teams, providing direction, motivation, and performance feedback.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of project outputs, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
• Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and report on status to senior leadership.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedules, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant Master's degree highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on business development or strategic initiatives.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from start to finish.
• Excellent understanding of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and tools.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
• Experience in market analysis and opportunity identification.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a strong asset.
• Experience working within the market of Onitsha, Anambra, NG or similar dynamic commercial centers is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
