Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will support enterprise‑level strategic initiatives focused on business transformation and operational improvement. The position is a one‑year renewable contract that includes employee benefits and offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days on‑site per 2‑week period).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate strategic business transformation initiatives, supporting leadership in planning and executing projects that improve core operational processes.
- Develop project plans, roadmaps, and resource strategies to guide complex initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Partner with executives, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to gather business requirements, define project scope, and align strategic objectives.
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions to drive collaboration and decision‑making.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address project risks and ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct gap analysis and process reviews to identify opportunities for operational improvements and business transformation.
- Coordinate across multiple teams and initiatives to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies and enterprise programs.
- Communicate project status, insights, and recommendations to leadership through regular reports and presentations.
- Support organizational change initiatives by helping define new processes, roles, and adoption strategies.
- Capture lessons learned and provide recommendations to improve future project delivery and program outcomes.
- Maintain project documentation, communication materials, and governance artifacts in accordance with organizational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science, or a closely‑related field (preferred).
- 10 years of experience with an applicable Bachelor’s degree or 12 years of experience with a non‑applicable Bachelor’s degree or 14 years of experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience managing medium‑to‑large‑sized projects (lifecycle cost $25 M and higher).
- Proficiency with Access, Visio, MS Project, and SharePoint.
- Preferred: PMI or PMP certification.

Compensation
- Pay range: $68.00 – $73.25 per hour, dependent on experience.

- Experience with Access, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint is required.
