Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Manage project finances, including tracking costs, processing invoices, and approving payments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, permits, and legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve project-related issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare progress reports and project documentation for senior management and clients.
  • Foster a collaborative and safe working environment on project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a significant focus on commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction estimating tools.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are highly desirable.
