About
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead ground‑up and large‑scale renovation projects across industrial, multifamily, and retail/hospitality sectors. This role requires a proven builder who has managed complex projects for top‑tier general contractors and understands the pace, rigor, and financial discipline required on programs exceeding $50M–$150M+.
The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project delivery — from preconstruction through turnover — ensuring safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations are met at the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead full project lifecycle for commercial construction projects ranging from $20M–$150M+
- Drive schedule development, critical path analysis, and recovery strategies
- Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope alignment
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost events with precision and urgency
- Ensure strict adherence to project budgets, forecasts, and cost‑to‑complete reporting
- Maintain proactive communication with ownership, design teams, and field leadership
Field Coordination & Quality Control
- Partner closely with Superintendents to maintain jobsite safety, logistics, and sequencing
- Conduct regular site walks to verify quality, progress, and conformance to plans/specs
- Resolve field issues quickly through collaboration with design partners and trade teams
- Ensure all inspections, testing, and commissioning activities are completed on schedule
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants
- Lead OAC meetings, progress reporting, and executive‑level project updates
- Build strong relationships through transparency, accountability, and consistent delivery
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, building codes, and safety standards
- Oversee closeout, punchlist, turnover packages, and warranty coordination
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Experience with industrial, multifamily, or retail/hospitality projects required
- Background with $100M+ general contractors strongly preferred
- Proven success managing projects $20M+ from precon through closeout
- Strong understanding of scheduling (P6 or equivalent), cost control, and contract management
- Ability to lead teams, manage high‑pressure environments, and maintain disciplined project controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
