Our client, a leading developer in the construction and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Project Manager to oversee major projects in Kaduna, Kaduna, NG. This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and execution capabilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects from conception through completion, demonstrating expertise in all phases of the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for coordinating all project activities, managing teams of professionals, and liaising with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Managing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design to execution and handover.
• Overseeing project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and site supervisors.
• Ensuring compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing proactive solutions.
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on financial performance.
• Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide regular updates and manage expectations.
• Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring quality control throughout the construction process.
• Leading post-project evaluations and ensuring all project documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required.
• A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure or building projects, is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes is a must.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are critical.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver successful outcomes is expected.
