Senior Program Manager – Data Center Construction

We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee the design, construction, and delivery of large-scale data center projects. This role manages multiple projects simultaneously, leading the full lifecycle of development from early design coordination and engineering alignment through construction execution, commissioning, and final project handoff.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex construction projects, coordinating engineering teams, and overseeing critical infrastructure systems within mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent data center projects from early design development through construction execution, commissioning, and final turnover.
• Manage multiple data center projects through the full lifecycle including concept, design coordination, construction execution, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Oversee data center construction activities and provide day-to-day project leadership and reporting to executive stakeholders
• Coordinate the design process from Basis of Design through construction documents
• Lead coordination between engineering teams, site developers, general contractors, and technical vendors
• Manage the fit-out of data halls, including infrastructure such as:
  • Busways
  • PDUs
  • Fiber infrastructure
  • Cat6 network systems
  • Server cabinets
  • Hot aisle containment systems (HACs)
• Track project cost, schedule, scope, and overall project health
• Manage and review RFIs, engineering questions, and submittals
• Track engineering deliverables including submittals, equipment deliveries, installations, and commissioning milestones
• Coordinate meetings with contractors, developers, and engineering teams to maintain alignment across project stakeholders
• Assemble and manage internal and external design teams to support project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in construction project management
• Experience with data center design and/or construction strongly preferred
• Experience managing complex building projects such as:
  • Data centers
  • Hospitals / healthcare facilities
  • High-rise commercial construction
  • Laboratory facilities
  • Manufacturing plants / fabs
  • Power plants or substations
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, engineering coordination, and project delivery
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Professional licensure (PE, RA, NCARB) preferred but not required
