Job Description
Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for some of the world's most innovative companies. Our U.S. data center projects are among the largest and most complex engineering endeavors today, presenting you with an exciting opportunity to influence critical infrastructure that drives global connectivity.
We are on the lookout for a skilled Project Manager to join our distinguished Data Center Project Management team. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee significant, multifaceted design projects throughout both the design and construction phases. Your goal will be to ensure projects adhere to approved designs, specifications, and contracts, while efficiently resolving any issues that arise during construction. You'll take charge of driving projects to successful completion on time, within scope, and on budget, with weekly travel to project sites.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the main contact for the design team, client representatives, contractors, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design Adherence: Supervise implementation to ensure project execution aligns with specifications, contracts, and high-quality standards.
- Technical Coordination: Manage the distribution of technical documentation (including RFIs, submittals, and design deliverables), ensuring cross-discipline completeness and constructability.
- Project Delivery & Risk: Propel project delivery to meet schedule and budget goals while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Issue Resolution: Facilitate the resolution of technical and site-specific issues, coordinating swiftly between design and construction teams to address unforeseen challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site observations and quality reviews to track progress, identify deficiencies, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Meeting Leadership: Organize and document project coordination meetings to drive decision-making and team alignment.
- Change Management: Oversee scope modifications, including reviewing and negotiating Change Orders and contract adjustments.
- Project Closeout: Lead the closeout process, ensuring meticulous maintenance of record documents and final deliverables.

You bring to the team:
- 6+ years of project experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with escalating responsibilities.
- 2+ years of experience in project management or construction management, potentially concurrent with project experience.
- Exceptional communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering/design terminology, contracts, financials, and operations.
- Proven ability to exceed client expectations through excellent project or construction management.
- Strong decision-making, leadership, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Conflict management and resolution expertise.
- Proficiency in MS Office, construction management software, and understanding of construction processes/codes.
