About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale data center projects from the structural steel subcontractor side. This is a unique opportunity to join a top‑tier, privately held company with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the contiguous U.S., while contributing to some of the most high‑profile projects in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (drawings, fabrication, procurement, and erection)
- Coordinate work between fabrication shops, field teams, and subcontractors
- Track project costs, payments, change orders, and back charges
- Oversee and support Project Managers, including training and performance guidance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Negotiate scope changes and support business development efforts
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and potential risks to cost or schedule
- Conduct site visits, review field reports, and ensure safety compliance
- Assist with estimating efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5‑7+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, erection, and project management
- Prior experience managing large‑scale projects, preferably data centers
- Strong knowledge of AISC and OSHA standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
