Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

A leading construction organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale data center projects. This role is responsible for managing complex, mission-critical builds from early-stage planning through final handover. The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and proven experience delivering high-value projects in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of data center projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee planning, execution, and coordination of all project activities
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
• Provide leadership to project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, and site staff

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise clients
• Lead client meetings, reporting, and overall communication strategy

Commercial & Financial Oversight

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes
• Review and approve subcontractor contracts, change orders, and pay applications
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring strong commercial performance

Preconstruction & Planning

• Support estimating, procurement, and bid strategy
• Lead constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives
• Ensure alignment between design, scope, and execution strategy

Schedule & Risk Management

• Oversee development and maintenance of detailed project schedules
• Identify risks to delivery and implement mitigation strategies
• Drive accountability across internal teams and subcontractors

Operational Excellence

• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement across projects

Required Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in construction project management
• Proven track record delivering large-scale projects ($50M+), ideally data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and MEP systems
• Experience managing full project lifecycle delivery
• Strong leadership and client-facing communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Data center, hyperscale, or mission-critical project experience
• Background with a general contractor or developer
• Experience working with complex MEP systems and critical infrastructure
• Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, and cost management platforms
