Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in implementing large‑scale technology solutions. You will act as a key liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and business units, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This position involves a hybrid work model, offering a balance between remote flexibility and in‑office collaboration in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex, cross‑functional projects focused on digital transformation and process improvement.
  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Conduct project reviews and provide regular status reports to executive leadership.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Oversee the implementation and adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Manage change requests and scope creep effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP or similar certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years managing large‑scale digital transformation projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Expertise in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and digital technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Experience in hybrid work environments, effectively managing both remote and in‑office teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and process improvement.
