About the role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead significant infrastructure projects. This role adopts a hybrid working model, blending remote work capabilities with essential in-office collaboration. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent leadership qualities, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Secure and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and report on financial performance. Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements. Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive project reports. Manage change control processes and address any deviations from the project plan. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Close out projects, documenting lessons learned and ensuring successful handover. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on infrastructure or large-scale construction projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile). Expertise in risk management, stakeholder management, and financial control. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors. Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. This position is based in Yola, Adamawa, NG and requires consistent attendance at the office for critical team functions.
