Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee complex IT infrastructure projects for their operations in Minna, Niger, NG. This role is office-based, requiring full-time presence to effectively manage project teams, resources, and stakeholder communications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing large-scale IT deployments, network upgrades, data center operations, and cloud initiatives.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. You will develop detailed project plans, define scope, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, meeting quality standards. This involves leading cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders, fostering collaboration and clear communication to achieve project objectives. We are looking for a proactive leader with excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, cloud migrations, and data center consolidation.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, milestones, and required resources.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within allocated financial constraints.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and ensuring effective collaboration.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of hardware, software, and services.
• Establish and maintain clear communication channels with all project stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and end-users.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards.
• Facilitate project closure activities, including lessons learned sessions and final documentation.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a significant focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks (LAN/WAN), servers, storage, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in managing vendor contracts and relationships.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
