Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects. This role is based in Enugu, Enugu, NG and requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technological initiatives on time and within budget. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure domains.

Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to the project plan and quality standards. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and expenditures are controlled. Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Ensure project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and quality requirements. Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations where applicable. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on IT infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, cloud migrations, network upgrades, hardware deployments). Proven experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects from initiation to completion. Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable. Experience in managing budgets and financial forecasting for projects. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work for specific tasks. This role requires a blend of on-site presence for critical team meetings, stakeholder interactions, and hands-on oversight in Enugu, Enugu, NG , with the flexibility of remote work for tasks that can be performed independently, ensuring optimal project delivery and team coordination.
