Senior Project Manager (m/w/d) – Network Operations / Infrastruktur

About the Role

The position is part of the Network Operations Team — a highly interrupt-driven unit responsible for operational interventions, incident resolution, firewall changes, and network deployments.

The role serves as a central interface between Network Operations, Engineering, and Data Center Operations, ensuring clear prioritization, effective distribution of work, and on-time delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously (ranging from smaller network deployments to large-scale infrastructure rollouts)
• Lead up to 20 engineers across different deployments
• Maintain transparency regarding timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies
• Develop, maintain, and execute a reliable project roadmap
• Plan milestones including clearly defined ownership and responsibilities
• Translate strategic initiatives into concrete project plans
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly and proactively
• Conduct annual reviews and track overall execution and delivery

Qualifications

• Experience with large infrastructure or network rollouts (data center environments are a strong advantage)
• Understanding of network deployments in data centers
• Ability to work effectively with engineering teams (deep hands-on technical expertise is not required)
• Confident in working with both agile and traditional (waterfall) project methodologies
• Structured, assertive, and proactive working style
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Required language: English; German is optional
