Role
In this interesting position as a Senior Project Manager (m/w/d) are you responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Leading and delivering FEED and detailed engineering projects for long-distance onshore pipeline systems from concept through handover
- Managing the overall project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and performance, ensuring that all key objectives are met efficiently
- Coordinating and integrating multiple technical disciplines, ensuring smooth collaboration across engineering teams
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, and must be able to clearly communicate project progress, risks, and technical decisions
- Ensuring effective risk management, quality assurance, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance throughout all project phases
- Maintaining the commercial performance of the project, including cost control, contract compliance, and the evaluation of invoices, variations, and claims
- Leading and mentoring multidisciplinary and potentially geographically distributed teams, while fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment
- Supporting procurement activities, including the preparation of technical packages, tender processes, and subcontractor Management
Qualifications
- Must have strong technical expertise in pipeline engineering, including knowledge of international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO, as well as experience with hydraulic simulations, stress analysis and route selection
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Pipeline, Civil, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- PMP certification preferred
- 15-20 years of experience in oil & gas engineering, with at least 10+ years specifically in pipeline FEED or detailed engineering
- Proven track record delivering cross‑country pipelines (100 km-1000+ km) including stations and associated facilities
- Experience in both client/owner and PMC/EPCM environments
- Strong command of ASME, API, ISO pipeline codes
- High understanding of terrain challenges and Crossing methodologies
- Strong knowledge of pipeline integrity, route engineering, geohazards, and construction methods
- Fluency in written and verbal English is mandatory
Additional Information
- Project position at S&P and involvement in customer relation
- Possibility of hybrid Working: up to 2 days per week from home
- Salary depending on experience and qualifications, with a collective agreement overpayment: € 100,000 gross/year
