About the role
About Us
Our client is an established non-profit organization focused on international development aid, seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager to lead their key projects at the Dornbirn, Vorarlberg location. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects to effectively achieve the organization's goals.
Your Core Tasks
- Plan, coordinate, and execute development projects according to the organization's strategic goals.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee timelines for assigned projects.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, local communities, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Create detailed project reports, progress updates, and financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Lead and motivate project teams, often in intercultural contexts.
- Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for new project initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and impacts.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings.
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing project proposals.
Your Profile
- Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration) or comparable qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in project management, ideally in the NGO or non-profit sector with an international focus.
- Demonstrable success in the implementation of complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI) and tools.
- Experience in budget management and financial controlling for projects.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and strategic skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, especially in intercultural environments.
- Proficient German and English language skills are essential; further language skills are an advantage.
- High willingness to travel, especially to project countries.
- Commitment to the organization's goals and values.
