Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and support delivery of projects within Operational Technology (OT) environments, specifically focusing on SCADA and gas control systems. The role is critical in ensuring successful execution of engineering-led programmes within industrial and critical infrastructure settings.

You will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of OT-related initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical teams, operations, and stakeholders while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex OT / SCADA / gas control system projects across industrial environments.
• Manage full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, IT/OT integration teams, and vendors.
• Ensure robust delivery assurance, governance, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across technical and business functions.
• Oversee integration of SCADA systems within operational gas/control environments.
• Ensure minimal disruption to live operational systems during project delivery.
• Drive effective change management within OT environments.
• Produce clear reporting, documentation, and progress updates for senior stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in OT environments.
• Strong background working with SCADA systems and industrial control systems (ICS).
• Experience in gas, utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, engineering-led delivery programmes.
• Strong understanding of OT architecture, operational constraints, and safety-critical systems.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including engineers and technical specialists.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior level.
• Experience in risk management, delivery assurance, and governance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utilities or energy sector projects (gas/electricity infrastructure).
• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles (e.g., segmentation, secure access, monitoring).
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Understanding of IT/OT convergence environments.
