About the Role

Our beauty client is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Product Development to support a portfolio of high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives during a maternity leave coverage.
This role sits at the center of innovation and execution—managing transversal development projects across product launches, catalog updates, and plant transfers. You will serve as a critical plug‑in resource for the team, quickly ramping to independently lead projects from concept through launch with minimal oversight.
This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned, strategic operator who thrives in fast‑paced environments and can inspire cross‑functional teams to move projects forward with agility and accountability.

Role Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will own end‑to‑end development and delivery of product initiatives, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Operations, and R&I. You will drive timelines, mitigate risks, and influence stakeholders to deliver launches that meet business, cost, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end‑to‑end management of product development and transversal projects (new launches, plant transfers, catalog updates)
  • Build and manage detailed project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on‑time, compliant launches
  • Own full lifecycle execution through QCP (Quality Control Process)

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, and R&I to drive alignment and project ownership
  • Act as the key communication bridge between Division and Industrial teams
  • Lead project review meetings and drive resolution of risks, blockers, and dependencies

Strategic Influence & Decision Support

  • Guide Marketing on innovation briefs and product conception with a focus on agility, profitability, and sustainability (L4TF)
  • Evaluate launch feasibility across cost, timeline, and technical constraints
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies with cross‑functional teams

Operational & Technical Execution

  • Support feasibility costing, COG analysis, and value engineering initiatives
  • Coordinate packaging and product development, including collaboration with R&D
  • Manage plant transfers and ensure seamless execution across manufacturing sites
  • Analyze performance and continuously improve processes based on learnings and trends

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product/package development and project management, ideally within beauty, CPG, or related industries
  • Proven ability to operate at a Senior Manager level—strategic, agile, and capable of leading with minimal oversight
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing end‑to‑end product launches
  • Background in packaging, development, or technical operations strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience with L’Oréal (highly preferred)
  • Open to former contractors with remaining tenure OR those with a 6+ month gap since last engagement
  • Former employees may be considered pending HR approval
  • Experience supporting global product development initiatives

What Sets You Apart

  • Strategic mindset with strong project ownership and accountability
  • Ability to influence and inspire teams to deliver in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through
  • Quick learner who can ramp rapidly and operate independently
