You will help shape how security in the public cloud is understood, lived, and technically implemented at DATEV. Together, we develop robust cloud landing zones, define clear security guardrails, and ensure that security is anchored in cloud architectures from the outset – not as a subsequent safeguard, but as an integral part of modern platforms. What You'll Achieve

You will help create a cloud environment that is secure, standardized, and at the same time practical for everyday use – enabling our internal customers to use Azure and AWS services in a trustworthy, high-performance, and compliant manner. Responsibilities

• Responsibility for IT security in public cloud environments (including Microsoft Azure, AWS) and ensuring stable, secure operation.
• Automation of cloud infrastructures and processes using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, YAML/JSON).
• Design, operation, and security of modern cloud platforms (CaaS/Kubernetes, Container Security, PaaS) with special consideration of security requirements.
• Close collaboration with internal cloud, platform, and network specialists, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless integration into the hybrid cloud security landscape.

Requirements

• You have a successful university degree in computer science or a vocational training as an IT system integration specialist, each with many years of professional experience, or comparable knowledge.
• You have very good knowledge of IT security in public cloud environments (ideally Microsoft Azure and AWS).
• You have many years of experience in automating and scripting cloud infrastructures, confidently using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and YAML/JSON.
• You have solid knowledge in the setup, operation, and security of modern cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Container Security, etc.).
• You have a deep understanding of security requirements and architectures in cloud environments.
• Software engineering knowledge (Python, Go, Spring Boot) and the associated use of development and delivery tools (e.g., GitHub, Artifactory), as well as knowledge in the development and connection of APIs (e.g., REST APIs) are desirable.
