A global financial services organisation with a long-standing market presence is expanding its Dublin engineering team and hiring a Senior Python Developer. As part of a major technology transformation, the company is investing heavily in modern cloud-first solutions, offering the chance to work across both greenfield builds and the modernisation of existing platforms.

This role sits within a critical business domain focused on Portfolio & Capital, where you’ll develop distributed Python systems that directly support core, revenue-generating operations. You’ll have genuine ownership, from design through to deployment, while working on scalable, resilient systems built on AWS.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders, playing a key role in shaping technical direction and delivering high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop distributed systems using Python in an AWS cloud environment
• Lead greenfield projects while modernising existing systems
• Work with modern AWS services such as Lambda, Fargate, and Step Functions
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle: design, build, deploy, and optimise
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best engineering practices

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience building end-to-end systems as a Senior Python Developer
• Solid SQL skills and experience with data-heavy applications
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
