Role and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for delivering both hands-on testing outputs and foundational QA artifacts that support consistent and reliable validation of application functionality. Deliverables include, but not limited to:

• Executed exploratory and functional testing across application features and workflows
• Develop, maintained, and executed test cases
• Test plans and master test plans that support structured testing efforts
• Documented defects with clear and reproducible steps for resolution
• Identify risk areas and provide recommendations for test coverage and prioritization
• Contributions to QA documentation standards and repeatable testing processes
• Automation contributions may occur where appropriate but not the primary delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related field
• Proven experience performing hands-on quality assurance testing in software applications
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile testing practices
• Experience creating test cases, executing tests, and performing exploratory testing
• Ability to develop or contribute to test plans and testing documentation
• Demonstrated ability to identify risk areas and adjust testing depth accordingly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide guidance and support to less-experienced testers when needed
• Comfortable working in environments without fully established QA processes
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks
• Familiarity with accessibility testing principles (WCAG)
• Experience working on enterprise or government systems
• Experience contributing to or improving QA processes and standards
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated test execution
