(Senior) QA - Automation Software Test Engineer (m/w/d) - Warehouse Systeme

Your Role

To fulfill our mission, we are looking for a (Senior) QA - Automation Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) - Warehouse Systems at one of our locations in Cologne, Münster, or Berlin, or hybrid, as soon as possible. You will be part of our large and motivated IT team and will build automated tests for our teams in Warehouse Outbound Engineering.

Your Responsibilities

Develop test strategies for sophisticated solutions in Warehouse Picking, Intralogistics, and Workforce Management with us:

• Starting with the loading, verification, and prioritization of customer orders, through the planning of optimal packages, routes, and picking orders, to the picking & packing of all required goods.
• Building on a platform for managing all item/storage master data, business processes for goods receipt and intake are realized up to management processes such as inventory control, quality control, and re-storage.
• This is done entirely on a cloud-based architecture with mobile devices for end-users and supported by goods carriers / goods-to-person solutions.
• In the new and further development of the microservice architecture, you will support and control test automation throughout the entire development process up to rollout and operation.
• You will ensure the quality of your solutions independently, but also through joint further development of best practices, coding standards, and automations.

Your Qualifications

• You have successfully completed training as an IT specialist or a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable discipline, or have extensive professional experience as a career changer.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in quality assurance / software testing for APIs and mobile apps - ideally in the Microsoft environment (.NET) and the programming language C#.
• You have experience with test automation tools such as Postman / Newman, Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• You are experienced with testing strategies at various levels (Unit, Integration, E2E).
• You ideally have experience with cloud environments such as Azure and understand the impact of distributed systems on tests and quality.
• Tools / platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Kubernetes, Azure are familiar to you.
• You have an agile mindset and value teamwork, communication, and transparency.
• You have strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
