This position is based in Rennes, France.
Role Overview
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI/ML-powered identity verification services. You will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design and execute comprehensive test strategies for complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and relevant frameworks
- Identify, document, and track bugs and quality issues through their full lifecycle
- Improve and refine QA/testing processes to enhance services quality and reliability
- Work closely with developers, data scientists, product managers, customer support, operations, and other stakeholders
- Operate within an Agile Scrum team, participating in sprint ceremonies and contributing to high-quality releases
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration to enable continuous quality validation
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices across teams
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in software QA and automation.
- Strong hands‑on skills in Python for test automation.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as pytest, Postman, Locust, or similar testing frameworks
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
- Proactive, autonomous, and confident in making technical QA decisions.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Fluent English (written and spoken); French language skills are a plus.
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy considerations in testing environments
- Experience with testing services communicating via message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) using Protocol Buffer (Protobuf) interfaces
- Familiarity with cloud‑based test environments or containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with QA testing of Machine Learning or AI services, including statistical testing methodologies, handling and validating large datasets
