Senior QA Engineer

What you will do with us:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a central role in building and further developing our automated tests. Your focus will be on reliably, scalably, and maintainably automating processes in our applications using end-to-end processes. You will work closely with Engineering and our Product Managers to ensure our applications function reliably. What does that mean in concrete terms?

• End-to-end test automation that maps our processes: You will develop and operate automated tests with a focus on user flows along our core processes – from the app user to the tax advisor to the interaction of the various systems. You will use tools like Playwright and be prepared to consciously go beyond standard solutions when the tools reach their limits.
• Think of quality as a system: You have an analytical view of processes, can identify weaknesses for tests, and question processes. You are ready to break new ground when classic approaches are not sufficient – whether in testing, infrastructure, or integration into CI/CD pipelines. You will support Engineering and Product with test tools.

What you ideally bring:

• Technical foundation: Several years of experience in test automation, especially in the E2E area. Very good knowledge of Playwright or comparable frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Selenium). Confident handling of TypeScript or JavaScript.
• E2E and system thinking: Experience in testing complex, distributed systems and a good understanding of end-to-end processes across multiple components.
• Structured way of working & process understanding: You quickly recognize where processes break or are inefficient and can derive robust test strategies from them.
• Quality standards & pragmatism: You find the balance between clean test architecture and pragmatic implementation in everyday life.
• Communication: You can clearly communicate technical and functional topics and work closely with various stakeholders.

Nice to have: Experience in mobile testing (especially native apps) and knowledge in automated mobile testing. Experience with form-based applications or regulated domains (e.g. Fintech, taxes).
