Senior QA / Test Engineer – Cloud & AI Platform

Epitec is seeking to support the largest global U.S. automaker in hiring a Senior QA / Test Engineer to support a cutting-edge Telemetry & Observability Platform (TOP).

This role is responsible for owning end-to-end quality validation across vendor deliverables, AI-driven services, APIs, and cloud-native data pipelines. You will drive both manual and automated testing strategies while ensuring adherence to strict acceptance criteria, cloud architecture standards, and SLA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own vendor deliverable acceptance process (SOW validation + defect documentation)
• Validate containerized deployments and SBOM alignment
• Ensure AI model deployments align with cloud architecture (GCP / Vertex AI standards)
• Build and maintain automated API and backend test frameworks
• Develop AI output evaluation frameworks (accuracy & regression validation)
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
• Manage Jira defect workflows (triage, prioritization, SLA tracking)
• Perform regression and integration testing across platform releases
• Define and maintain cloud-based test environments (GCP)
• Produce QA metrics reporting for leadership (defects, SLA, coverage)

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of software QA experience (cloud-native systems required)
• Strong API testing and automation experience
• Hands-on experience testing containerized applications in cloud (GCP preferred)
• Experience executing formal acceptance testing against defined criteria
• Proven UAT leadership with real end users
• Strong Jira experience managing defects and workflows
• Ability to write clear, actionable defect reports

• ISTQB or formal QA certification
