Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual & Automation Testing

As a Senior QA Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for independently driving end-to-end testing for complex web and API applications. Your deep expertise in automation frameworks, solid command over QA fundamentals, and ability to perform under time-sensitive release cycles will be crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Test Strategy & Planning**: - Independently create robust test strategies, test plans, and comprehensive test cases. - Ensure complete test coverage across functional, regression, performance, and load testing scenarios. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk-based testing, impact analysis, and scheduling for tight deadlines.

- **Automation Testing**: - Design, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, and POM (Page Object Model). - Build reliable automation scripts for both Web UI and API testing. - Write clean, modular automation code without dependency on tools like GitHub Copilot. - Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab.

- **Manual Testing**: - Perform deep-dive functional, exploratory, regression, prioritization & triage-based testing. - Validate UI/UX behaviors, cross-browser compatibility, and data-driven scenarios.

- **API Testing**: - Work with tools such as Postman, JMeter, and Cypress for API functional and performance testing. - Have a strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response validation, headers, payloads, and API automation frameworks.

- **Defect & Quality Management**: - Use JIRA/TestRail for efficient defect logging, root-cause analysis (RCA), and traceability using RTM. - Provide timely and accurate defect lifecycle updates and collaborate effectively with developers.

- **Documentation & Reporting**: - Write detailed test artifacts, test cases, execution reports, regression summaries, RCA reports, and release notes.

- **Collaboration**: - Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and release planning discussions. - Provide clear and concise testing updates backed by measurable quality metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing. - Strong expertise in Cypress or Playwright, Selenium, JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation, and POM architecture. - Clear understanding of SDLC, STLC, RTM, RCA, and all QA lifecycle phases. - Ability to handle live coding tasks, debugging challenges, and scenario-based problem-solving independently. - Good command of regression planning, risk assessment, prioritization, and handling production bug scenarios. - Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to justify testing decisions confidently. - Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, Postman/JMeter, and test management tools (JIRA/TestRail).

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, etc.). - Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments. - ISTQB certification (preferred but not mandatory).
