Our client, a prominent manufacturing entity, is actively seeking a Senior Quality Control Engineer to join their dedicated team in Minna, Niger, NG. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our manufactured products, operating predominantly on‑site with occasional hybrid flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive quality control systems and procedures throughout the production lifecycle. This includes establishing quality benchmarks, conducting rigorous inspections and tests, analyzing defect data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize product defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
- Establish and monitor quality standards for raw materials, in‑process production, and finished goods.
- Conduct product inspections, testing, and validation.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage non‑conformance reporting and resolution processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry quality standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Lead internal quality audits and support external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is essential.
