At the Melsungen site, within B. Braun Melsungen AG, Hospital Care Division, for the Research & Development department of the Center of Excellence Infusion & Pain Therapy, we are looking for a Senior R&D Project Manager (w/m/d) as soon as possible.
The R&D Project Management area is responsible for successful project management in the development of non-active medical devices within the Center of Excellence Infusion & Pain Therapy.
As a Senior Project Manager in the R&D Project Management team, you will lead complex global development projects with the goal of providing innovative products for the medical market. You will also support R&D Project Managers from other areas and continuously improve project management standards.
The diverse project teams consist of all relevant global specialist departments. Project communication is conducted in the corporate language, English.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordination of complex R&D projects and programs for product development with the goal of increasing margins, revenue, and capacities
- Leadership and implementation of digitalization and transformation projects in the R&D environment, especially in the context of product creation processes
- Evaluation of realization possibilities for product, project, and digitalization initiatives from technical, economic, and organizational perspectives
- Management of internal and external interfaces as well as suppliers
- Regular reporting on the progress of projects, programs, and digitalization initiatives within the defined committees, as well as targeted escalation of project-relevant topics within the global organization
- Active risk and change management, including the initiation of necessary measures to secure project goals
- Implementation and continuous improvement of project management methods, tools, and digital working methods in coordination with Strategic Projects and the Corporate Project Management Office (cPMO)
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed (Bachelor's) degree in engineering or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of professional experience as a project manager or in the development/procurement of non-active medical devices
- In-depth knowledge in the area of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ideally including process design, system implementation, roll-out, and continuous further development
- Experience in the procurement and supplier management for services and components in the fields of medical technology and plastics processing
- In-depth knowledge of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 13485)
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Proficient use of MS Office applications; experience with digital project and PLM tools is an advantage
- Ideally, project management certifications (e.g., PMI/PMP)
